  1. How to deactivate a user

    1. Step 1Login to Cape and navigate to the People page

      Important: To deactivate a user, you'll need to be an Account Owner (usually the person who set up your company's Cape account).

      You will be presented with a list of people in your organisation. There is a new toggle to deactivate users on each user's line.
      - Active are in the 'ON' orientation and are coloured green
      - Deactivated are in the 'OFF' orientation and are coloured red
      - Pending users' toggles are 'DISABLED' and are coloured grey

    2. Step 2Click an active user's ‘Status’ toggle

      To deactivate a user, click on an active user's toggle.

      You will be presented with a confirmation alert. Click 'Yes' to continue with deactivation.

      The user should now be deactivated. Note that the user's toggle will now be in the 'OFF' orientation.

    Can I re-activate a user?

    You will be able to reverse a deactivation by activating a user. Simply click the Status toggle of a deactivated user and follow the prompts to re-activate a user.

    What happends to a deactivated user?

    1. A deactivated user will no longer be able to log in.
    2. A deactivated user will no longer receive any communications from Cape.
    3. Deactivating a user will also 'Freeze' any cards attached to that user.
    4. You will not be able to use a frozen card for transactions.

    What deactivating user doesn't do

    1. Deactivating a user will not remove or reset any 'Credit Limits' assigned to that user. You may do this by editing the user's credit limit.
    2. You will not be able to decrease a deactivated user's limit if they have an outstanding balance. You will need to pay that outstanding balance first.
    3. It will not make transactions from the deactivated user disappear.
    4. You will not be able to use a frozen card for transactions.

    Additional cardholders

    Cape will only charge for additional cardholders over your card threshold. For example, if you have 6 cards under the Essentials $99.99 (ex GST) plan, with a card threshold of 5, you would typically be charged $114.99 (ex GST). If you deactivate one card bringing your active cards count down to 5, then your new bill would be $99.99 (ex GST).
