Power up your payments, policies & People with Cape’s complimentary Business Travel Insurance coverage for all cardholders

With corporate travel back with a bang to pre-pandemic levels of spending, it’s never been more important to have cover for when the unexpected happens such as missed flights, lost baggage, ATM robbery, finding cheaper travel prices within 60 days of purchase, unexpected illnesses and mobile device theft or damage.

Which is why Cape has partnered with Mastercard to provide all of our cardholders with a free complimentary travel insurance for all of your cardholders so that you have peace of mind with business coverage for your people and company.

For those new to Cape, all Cape cardholders also have the added benefit of free airport lounge access when they travel which you can read about here.

What is Travel Insurance?

Distinguishing itself from regular travel insurance, business travel insurance is designed to safeguard individual employees traveling for business-related reasons.

This specialized coverage generally encompasses medical expenditures, potential accommodation outlays, or alternative travel plans. In addition, it can provide reimbursement in cases where a traveler is no longer able to make the trip.

Certain policies might extend their protection to encompass valuable items such as laptops, cameras, and other high-value equipment. It's important to note that standard policies do not typically extend their coverage to include items like official documents and company funds. It's worth highlighting that the extent of these provisions can vary depending on the insurance provider.

Why you should protect your business travel

The majority of businesses already have insurance policies and regulations in place to cover things like workplace theft or injuries. However, the situation takes a different turn when your individual employees embark on corporate travel.

Issuing Cape Cards to all of your employees ensures they have business travel insurance coverage even when they are away from the scope of your other policies.

Neglecting to establish sufficient coverage for business travel can result in various consequences, with the most pronounced impacts being felt in your financial stability and organizational culture.

How do I activate Cape’s Travel Insurance?

All active Cape cardholders automatically have complimentary domestic and international Travel Insurance.

To activate your cover all you need to do is pay for your travel, eligible items or smartphone using your Cape card.

IMPORTANT: To be eligible for cover, you must meet all the eligibility requirements of the policy.
