To use Cape, you'll need to apply and qualify for a Cape corporate card. There are several factors we consider when assessing a card application, but the must-have, non-negotiable criteria to qualify are:
• Your business is a Pty Ltd company
• You have been in business for over 12 months
• Your annual turnover exceeds AUD$75,000
We only run soft credit checks, which means applying won’t affect your credit score. But the application will show up on your credit report.
Timing varies depending on whether we need to ask you for further information - in some cases it only takes a couple of hours. However, most customers are approved within 1 to 2 business days.
Cape is a Principal Member of Mastercard, a partnership that requires a rigorous assessment of Cape’s payment processing capabilities to ensure they are secure and protect against fraud. You can use your Cape card for any business expenses you want! Many of our customers start by switching their foreign currency expenditure across to Cape, such as SaaS subscriptions paid in USD, to make the most of our $0 international transaction fees.
Our credit facility ranges from $5k to $500k, depending on our risk assessment of your business and the card limit you want. We can re-assess your limit at any point in the future. If you need additional funds, just chat with your account manager.
There is no long-term commitment with a Cape card. Use it as much or as little as you want, make repayments within 30 days, and cancel your card if you need to.
No. You won't need to sign a personal guarantee or use an asset as security to get a Cape card. Approval is based purely on your business financials.
There is a monthly SaaS fee which you can learn more about on our pricing page.
You are set up on a monthly statement date and all transactions within the monthly cycle are payable in full. So you have up to 31 days to pay for a transaction. We make this easy by setting up a direct debit in your Cape account.
We're happy to help! If you have any questions about your Cape account or applying for a card, email support at support@getcape.io.
